SFSWC Results 2022

The results of this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) were announced earlier this week, and we are delighted to have been awarded as ‘Best in Class’ for 2 of our single malt whiskies.

The SFWSC is regarded as one of the most prestigious spirits competitions in thebe world, judged by renowned experts in their fields with decades of industry experience. The competition started in 2000, making it the second oldest spirits competition in the world, and the oldest and largest spirits competition in the US.

This year there were over 5000 entries from 40 countries, making it th the largest and longest running blind judging event in the world.

Best In Class Non Age Statement Distillers Single Malt


Following on from our Best In Show win for Glen Scotia 25 year old at the SFWSC last year, Glen Scotia Victoriana was awarded the Best in Class, non age statement Distillers single malt. 

Victoriana is a modern interpretation of a classic Victorian style Campbeltown Malt Whisky. Matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon barrels and finished in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and heavily charred oak casks, this single malt displays dark chocolate, Crème brûlée and caramelised fruits throughout.

Our Glengarry 12 year old single malt received Best in Class for Distillers single malt up to 12 years old. Glengarry is matured in three varieties of our finest casks, resulting in a well balanced single malt with layers of soft fruits, vanilla oak and gentle spice.
