We are delighted to have been awarded 9 medals across our whisky portfolio in this year'sSan Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), including two Double Gold awards for our 21 & 30 year old Single Malt Whiskies.

Our 21 & 30 year old single malts were released into our core range at the end of last year, and both perfectly demonstrate the versatility of the distillery and deliver our signature fruity profile. In addition to the Double Gold awards, we were also awarded with Gold Medals for our Signature Blended Scotch, and our 12, 14 and 18 Year Old Single Malts.

Both the Loch Lomond Single Grain and the Loch Lomond Original Single Malt were also awarded a Silver Medal, with Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 12 Year Old being recognised with a Bronze Medal.

The SFWSC is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious spirits competitions in the world, judged by renowned experts in their fields, with decades of industry experience. This year, the SFWSC judged 3,800 entrants across 31 separate categories, and through a rigorous judging process, including a blind tasting, each entry is considered on its own merit.

A Double Gold is awarded to those spirits that receive a Gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel.

Michael Henry, our Master Blender commented “To have been recognised with so many awards at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition is a fantastic achievement for Loch Lomond Whiskies. A wealth of care and craftsmanship goes in to each of our expressions, and to have been recognised at such a prestigious level is an honour."

“I’m particularly proud of our 21 and 30 year old expressions, which were only launched into our core range at the end of last year. To have been recognised with a Double Gold medal for each of these is wonderful news, and something that the whole team should be very proud of.”
