“Whisky Bible Liquid Gold” from Jim Murray

Malts across the Loch Lomond Group portfolio have received glowing reviews from Jim Murray in his 2019 Whisky Bible including five 'Liquid Gold' awards. New additions from Loch Lomond Whiskies included the special bottlings to mark year one as the 'Official Spirit of The Open': Loch Lomond Open Course Collection Carnoustie 1999 and Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition. Two expressions which are exclusive to Sweden also featured including Loch Lomond 15 Year Old and this years' top scorer Loch Lomond Organic 17 Year Old. The Organic 17 Year Old Single Malt scored an impressive 96.5% earning it a 'Liquid Gold' award and a glowing review from Murray: "organic…? Orgasmic, more like! A dram which will win all the hearts, minds and souls of both bourbon and scotch whisky lovers. In fact, if you don’t like this, whatever the cut of your jib, you might as well give up now." Inchmoan 10 Year Old and Inchmoan 12 Year Old from the Loch Lomond Islands collection also feature alongside Inchmoan 1992 - another product scoring within 'superstar whiskies that give us all a reason to live'. From Campbeltown, our Glen Scotia range received three 'Liquid Gold' ratings for: Glen Scotia 18 Year Old, Glen Scotia 25 Year Old and USA and Germany exclusive Glen Scotia 10 Year Old Peated with the latter being described as: "One of the greatest Glen Scotias of all time". Silent Distillery, Littlemill 27 year old 2017 Cellar Edition also received a 'brilliant' 93 with Murray describing it as "a malt which is the matured embodiment of grace and finesse".
