Premium Glen’s Platinum Vodka has been awarded coveted gold status at the 2019 World Vodka Awards.
Glen’s Platinum, which is produced by Loch Lomond Group, was granted a gold medal in the World’s Best Pure Neutral category, where 47 other vodka brands were also shortlisted.
The World Vodka Awards is a global competition where the very best spirits from all over the world are recognised in a number of categories. Each category is judged by a panel of drinks experts, leading journalists and specialist drinks retailers, who identify and score characteristics such as smell, look and taste.
Glen’s Platinum, which was launched in 2014 in response to growing demand globally for premium spirits, was described by the judging panel as “very clean, neutral” and “well balanced”.
Each spirit is blind tasted in its relevant style by the panel to find the best in each country, then tasted again to find the world’s best. This is the case in each of the recognised taste categories; World’s Best Pure Neutral Vodka, World’s Best Varietal Vodka and World’s Best Flavoured Vodka.
Made in Scotland, using premium grain, its distinctive two-tone blue bottle has also won wide acclaim for its sleek design.
Alisha Goodwin, brand manager at Loch Lomond Group, said: “Since we introduced Glen’s Platinum to our range, we’ve been very pleased with how it has been received by both consumers and industry experts.
“Being awarded gold at the World Vodka Awards is a fantastic achievement for Glen’s Platinum, and we hope our spirit continues to impress in years to come.”
